Cocktail Recipes for Summer

SUMMER OF SIPS

Summer's here, and it's all about chilling by the pool, hitting the beach, or just unwinding after a long day. So, why not shake things up with some fun cocktails? We've got simple ones and some that might need a bit more effort, but trust us, they're worth it. At Unbooze, we get how crucial it is to stay refreshed in the summer heat. Let's dive into some of these boozy summer sips!

SPICY WATERMELON MARGARITA

 

What you need: 

  • 2 oz fresh watermelon juice
  • 1 ½ oz Casa Del Sol Tequila, 
  • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz fresh orange juice
  • ½ tsp agave nectar or simple syrup, more to taste
  • 1 thinly sliced jalapeño round 
  • Optional garnish: 1 tiny watermelon wedge
How to make:
  1. Dress the rim
  2. Shake all of the ingredients up in your cocktail shaker
  3. Add ice to your glass and pour it up

SUMMER BEER COCKTAIL

What you need: 

  • 8 oz Blue Moon® Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Lemonade
How to make:
  1. Shake the vodka and lemonade with ice and strain into a double old-fashioned glass over ice cubes
  2. Top with Blue Moon and stir gently, to preserve carbonation
  3. Serve with an orange wheel

PEACH PASSION MARTINI

What you need: 

  • 3 oz. Skyy Georgia Peach Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. passion fruit puree
  • 1 oz. triple sec 
  • a splash of cranberry juice.
How to make:
  1. Shake all of the ingredients up in your cocktail shaker with ice
  2. Strain into glass
  3. Garnish with a peach slice

SUMMER GIN COCKTAIL

What you need: 

  • 12 strawberries, hulled and sliced (1 ¼ cups), plus whole berries for serving
  • 12 thin cucumber slices, halved (¾ cup), plus whole rounds for serving
  • 2 tbsp superfine sugar
  • 3 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 9 oz gin, chilled
  • 6 oz St-Germain, chilled
  • Club soda, chilled; and Peychaud's bitters, for serving
How to make:
  1. Muddle sliced strawberries, halved cucumber slices, sugar, and lemon juice in the bottom of a pitcher until fruits break down and release most of their juices and sugar has dissolved.
  2. Stir in gin and St-Germain to combine.
  3. Top each with 1 to 2 oz club soda; stir once. Top each with a few dashes of bitters, whole strawberries, and cucumber rounds; serve immediately.

KIWI & PRICKLY PEAR SPRITZ

What you need: 

  • 1 oz Casa Del Sol Tequila
  • ½ oz store-bought prickly pear syrup
  • ½ oz kiwi syrup
  • 2 oz Prosecco
  • Soda water top
  • Kiwi for garnish
How to make:
  1. Combine ingredients in a shaker.
  2. Shake to combine, and then strain over clear ice
  3. Top with Prosecco and soda
  4. Garnish with sliced kiwi.

CUCUMBER GINGER LIME COCKTAIL

What you need: 

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 1 oz. homemade ginger lime syrup (made from sugar, lime juice, and grated ginger)
  • 2 oz. fresh cucumber juice (made from 2 cucumbers)
  • Club soda
  • Ice
How to make:
  1. Combine sugar, lime juice, and grated ginger in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat, let it cool, and then strain the syrup. Refrigerate the syrup
  2. Peel and dice two cucumbers, then blend them until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, discard the solids, and refrigerate the juice
  3. Combine the rum, ginger lime syrup, and cucumber juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well
  4. Pour into a glass over ice
  5. Top off with club soda as desired
